Why it works
- One-to-one correspondence: one treat, one count, one dot.
- Dots, then numerals: linking the symbol to the quantity.
- Stopping at the number: from level 3, too few or too many gently gets a βMore please!β or βIβm full!β.
Counting
In Feed the Animals, a hungry animal shows how many treats it wants. Your child drags them over one by one, and a dot fills in for each. Later the dots give way to numerals, and children learn to stop at exactly the right number.
π Counting
One-to-one counting, number recognition and exact quantities.
Try free βΆFree to try, no sign-up. Works on any phone, tablet or computer.
Try it free βΆYes. Open it once on wifi and everything is stored on the device: about 100 KB, smaller than a single photo. After that every game works in airplane mode, in the car or anywhere without a signal. The grown-ups screen shows "Ready for offline β" when it is.
No ads, ever, and nothing a child can buy. Unlocking is done by a grown-up in the locked grown-ups area, once, with no subscription.
Leaving a game needs a long press on the home button, and the grown-ups area needs a 2-second hold plus tapping 1, 2, 3. Most phones and tablets can also pin an app to the screen in their settings (often called screen pinning or guided access).
